Event Organizers

ReD (Rodeemos el Diálogo) is a transnational network of Colombians and ‘friends’ of Colombia committed to supporting a negotiated solution to the country’s ongoing armed conflict through fostering a culture of dialogue across Colombian society. In motion since 2012, ReD has led initiatives, both in Colombia and the UK, to raise awareness of different aspects of the peace process between the Colombian government and FARC, taking place in La Habana.

CPERG (Cambridge Peace and Education Research Group) provides a hub for research students and faculty at the University of Cambridge to exchange ideas and collaborate on projects that explore the relationships between conflict, peace, and education. CPERG explores the complexity, multidimensionality and contextuality of conflict and peace, and the important role that education can play in mitigating conflict dynamics and strengthening inclusive and just cultures of peace. Drawing on critical and multidisciplinary perspectives, CPERG contributes to policy-relevant debates on theory, research and practice.

Educate for Dialogue is a society of students at the IOE who exalt education as a tool to promote mutual understanding. We believe education can provide both the skills and conceptual framework that conduce to empathy, a critical first step to understanding. This framework is built on the tenets of respect, inclusion and dialogue.
